HELLOOOOctober
Its been a while since an update. So here's an image snap to make up for it, what japes one can have when stuff goes wrong in 3-D, WHAT JAPES! Anyways, we're still amidst a pile of work for the Graham Chapman film we're doing a section of, its all going well and looking really cool, all stereo-scopiky and with bits of image all flying out at your faces and waving your hands around in the cinema whilst whispering to Mum "It looks like I can touch it!". Mum doesn't reply. AND all that stuff.
But yes, anyway, hopefully we'll be able to show something of it soon. Not sure if I can even show this, its a mistake so its not actually part of the film, maybe it should be......yes, it should all look like this. Lets start again!

Treat at BUG
A bit late notice, we only just found out this week, but BUG, the excellent magical wonderment video LIVE show at the BFI, have invited us to screen some of our films and talk about them a wee bit with the amazing Adam Buxton, who's hosting the show.
Feel free to come check it out- http://www.bugvideos.co.uk/home/bug-27.go
Also in other news, our website just crashed under a wave of views form reddit, as our christmas reindeer ident for e4 found its way to the front page. We'll bring it back from the dead ASAP

Here's a music video for Crystal Antlers' new single Two Way Mirror. I really like their music, go check them out if you don't already know them. Thanks to Cora and the band for letting us do the video. It was great working with them and although it was a tough one to finish it was fun to do. Also a huge, huge thanks to Paul Layzell, Jonathan Harris, Joe Sparrow, Robin Bushell and Danny Boyle for for putting in mad hours when times got rough.
The video loops so that you can watch it again and again and again and forever and ever, for all eternity. I've been watching it on loop since I finished it and I'm still enjoying it. Although I do see the screaming, severed heads of great kings suckling the milk of time from the teats of black holes whenever I lay my eyes to rest, a small price to pay for watching a great, entertaining, looping music video forever and ever.

Look Who's Talking
Hello everybody
We've very kindly been invited to talk at the excellent See No Evil in August. So if you want to hear about processes, organization, work-flows, pipelines, file naming, keyboard shortcuts, paper management and recycling, office safety, cables management, stocking, studio works, processeses, eyes, supplies and the occult in general then come on over and see us blast our way through walls of informative speech, its going to be a rare and MASSIVE insight into our MINDS! We may have some new videos to show as well, but only once the important issues have been broached.
Bring your rain macs because we'll be spraying our thoughts ALL OVER the shop.

WOW! 3D, innit!
So, we're doing a wee bit of 'mation for a fully animated, stereoscopic film about the life of times of Sir Lord Graham Chapman, the High Priestess of the Monty Python gang. It's gonna be BIG.
Anyways, as it's in three dimensional space the beautiful humans behind said film have kindly laid on a fancy Stereoscopic screen all the way from America, and just look what it can do!

Stop, Drop, Open up shop
Hello all, we have a Treat shop now on Etsy with lots of stuff to buy including the prints we did for our show in Berlin and the first issue of Unaired Pilots which is real good.
Talking of the Berlin show, if you're interested, it went well, it was a marathon to get finished and we were awake for a very long time. It kind of felt like the ending bit of space odyssey, it went on and on and there were flashing lights and we started to slip through time and ended up in a blank white space we weren't sure the location of . HAL was our projector as it malfunctioned right at a crucial point and so on, you get it. Anyways, head over to the shop yo, its all made with love and care and we just wish to spread it.

Treat to Berlin
Its been a while since we last posted something, due to a mixture of sunny weather, pagan rituals and moving our studio. Anyway, thanks to Julia, we've recently been invited to the Etsy labs in Berlin next month for a Treat exhibition.
We're making some new work for it under the general theme of Mazes. Its going to involve wooden sculptures of many varieties mixed with video projections. Along with that there'll be prints to buy and also the launch of our new publication 'Unaired Pilots' which features work from both family and friends (more on that soon).
The show starts on the 17th Sept and runs for 6 weeks, so come along if you can and we'll all party in Berlin.

We've been working on another Slackers Club ad for E4 featuring an huge battle between movie characters, it's a super busy animation noise soup and some of the background animation was awesome so we've pulled it from the soup to look at at our leisure.

Lets go surfing
Last year we set out on making some traditional narrative animation made to compliment a live action surf film, commissioned by the lovely guys at Surfers Against Sewage.
The footage is awesome pro surfers and bodyboarders "ripping it up" all round the British coast lines, shot by director and cinematographer Richard Stewart (www.rsdop.com) with our animations in between, explaining the issues facing British surfers and beaches. The full DVD is being released this Friday, free with the surf magazine Surfers Path, so check it out if that's your cup of tea...

Skins 4 - Trailers
We recently finished nine trailers for the new series of Skins on E4.
Each film was printed out and re-shot, frame by frame under a camera, which gave it a natural kind of grade and removed it from looking too computer generated. It also meant we got to rip each film to shreds in a BLIND FURY OF RAGE!!
It was a great project to do and much fun was had by all. Thanks to all the guys at E4 who worked with us on this and everyone else who kindly assisted us.
Ps- you can check out the rest of the videos on our vimeo page or on our website (soon)

E4 Slacker's Club
We recently did a spot for E4's Slackers Club. The whole things about watching films so we crammed in as many movie references as we could, here are a few of them.
A packet of monster munch and a can of diet coke goes to anyone who can name all the characters above.
Watch out for the ad (if you have a tv and better yet a tv licence) and if you're a student you can sign up for it and watch films for free, it beggars belief!
